Screen Damage?

Just pulled my iPad Pro out of the box and see this. On a white background it shows as a darker spot, and any pressure on the screen makes the spot very visible as shown in the picture. Think this is something that will go away on its own? Never gotten an Apple device with anything wrong with it out of the box.

Yeah, its being swapped out by Verizon. Of course its not in stock, but they escalated the issue so hopefully I'll get a replacement sooner. I did talk to Apple before Verizon and they agreed that it was a defect.

Replacement finally on its way for Thursday delivery. I can't even see the spot anymore on the "old" pro, but as expensive as this thing is, it should be perfect out of the box.

Even a Mercedes can have a glitch here and there. Nothing is perfect.
