Schedule iOS & App Updates?

I

iMore Question

Is there a way to schedule all updates on iOS devices? I live in a remote area and my net connection is slow and expensive. If I could schedule all updates to happen overnight it would be a big help......

You can always turn off automatic app updates. For iOS when the prompt shows up to update, you can choose later and select a time for your device to update.

Keep it on manual updates. Then don't update. At bedtime go to Settings and turn on auto updates for apps. See if that works.

This is exactly what I do. I do not like my apps updating automatically, so I usually do my updates manually at night before I go to bed.....this works for me.

I usually have a poor cell phone signal at work during the day, so I manually update in the evening. Maybe in the future we'll be able to set a scheduled a time for updates.
