Oh wow that’s pretty chunky for a watch.

15.2mm is like a brick on your wrist , makes sense Samsung is giving them away.

Hopefully sooner or later Apple will produce a Solar power Smartwatch similar to what Citizens watch company uses. It just makes so much sense in my opinion.

Don’t really know what you have done to your Apple Watch 7 , but my Apple Watch 6 can do a 3 hour outdoor walk no problem.

Battery usually lasts a day and a half and I would wager that beats the new galaxy 5 if Samsung is using a Samsung fabricated cpu.

In fact with a Samsung fabricated cpu I would be shocked if it even got 24 hours . Probably why Samsung gives the Watch away with a new phone.

I would pass on this. I'm getting about 30-35 hours between charges on my Series 7.

My AW7 is on part with these two post. Battery life is very good in my opinion. Not sure Apple would sell a watch that runs out of battery after a 20 miles run when it's designed for activities such as this.

No offense intended and not trying to stir up trouble but anyone saying “won’t last 2 hours” isn’t, imho, an Apple Watch user. They’re just part of an online brigade that vehemently does not like Apple products. Hey, to each their own.

On the specific subject of Apple Watch, it has a lot of selling points (more than most) but imho it is fair to say that battery isn’t a super strong point. Like others I get a day and a half though heavy usage can lessen it a bit. For new watch users or those considering, in my own experience/opinion/recommendation, plan to be on a daily charge schedule. Simple! Now you don’t run out of juice at in opportune times during the day. For me I put it on the charger before the morning shower and coffee (you’re already going to be removing it to shower, just put it on the charger). Even If it’s a morning I’m in a hurry and I don’t get a full or very close to a full charge, I still have enough to see me through to the next morning’s normal charge routine. BOL

I’ve been on multi-hour bike rides and hikes and my Series 6 always has at least 40% battery left at the end of the day (14-16 hours). I quick charge before bed and I wear it while I sleep. No issues at all.
