Hey guys, I just had a customer who came in to activate an iPhone 5 and their Safari interface was black instead of the regular blue/gray color or whatever the stock color usually is. How do I get the black interface on mine? I tried to do a search on the forums for something with this but couldn't find anything, so I apologize if this is a already a topic and I missed it.

Thanks!

The black background means that private browsing is turned on in the settings/safari section. That won't keep history or leave tracks of browsing activity.

Everyone that is using Private Browsing, how are you finding the experience? I agree the black scheme is cool, but is it a pain not to have your history saved, etc?

No, no problem at all, usually if i want to save/ go back to a website I just bookmark it or send it to pocket/evernote, so no biggie for me.

I love the black but u can't live without my browser saving all my logins as. Cookies. I wish they would make the black a theme option, maybe even for the whole OS. Maybe in a future version we will see additional customization.

I am confused as to where you change the interface to black within the safari settings. Can someone post a screen shot of their settings page? I have messed around with it forever now trying to figure it out and I just can't!

Open Safari, tap the Tabs/Pages icon, tap Private.
