I would absolutely love this feature. I think it's a shame that apple doesn't already offer this feature.

I agree. This could possibly curtail the gripes about being unable to transfer files between iOS devices and computer without the need of iTunes and/or third party app or email, etcetera.

I think apps like DeskConnect prove that Apple will do it. So I would think there is a good chance that it will happen in 10.10.
