RTT suddenly appearing in a phone call

Hi all.
Just wondering if anyone else is seeing this? Since this morning when I’m in a call I am seeing a RTT icon in the phone screen. When you tap it you can send text while in the call. I was in a call with an Android friend.

I know what RTT is , but it is not and has never been enabled in the accessibility settings. Like I said , just showed up today. I’m wondering if something on the Android side suddenly changed or with the carrier.

Anyone else seeing this ?
