I was so very sad to see that Alex passed away over the weekend. I really loved watching him on Jeopardy. He was such a great cheerleader for all of the contestants!
Very sad as a fellow Canadian. He was a regular 'back in the day' on my flights when I ran between Toronto & Los Angeles. One of the truly 'Good Guys' in showbiz..
The time frame I refer to certainly indicates the long period he had with Jeopardy, as I speak of the late 80's & early 90's. Thus - true 'tenure' in a business world which normally prefers to change and freshen faces as may of us do clothing styles. One can only wonder what quizzes Alex has for those with him in heaven . RIP
