Overview
Wouldn't you know it? I forgot I had this case on the way. The Mujjo full leather wallet case in olive. I immediately liked this case out of the box. It's very reminiscent of the old style Apple leather cases. It has the open bottom cutout, a narrow mute switch cutout, and the buttons are also leather. The mute switch cutout will probably be uncomfortable or hard to use if you have large fingers. The camera cutout is slightly off center which isn't really an issue, but it is a pet peeve of mine. While the buttons themselves are leather they do have a very satisfying tactile click to them. There is even a 1mm lip over the screen to protect your screen if you like to lay your phone face down. The Mujjo case is definitely one of the most comfortable leather cases I've used because it is pre-treated with vegetable oil and is already soft out of the box. Even the pocket on the back of the case isn't uncomfortable, with or without cards in it.
Speaking of the pocket, the stitching is well done and Mujjo claims you can fit 2-3 card in it. I tried both and I would not recommend putting 3 cards in the slot. Having 3 cards in the slot makes it quite difficult to pull any of the cards out. The wallet part of this case is nice if you only need to carry one card and an ID, maybe some sort of transit pass. I said this was reminiscent of the style Apple leather cases, and like the Apple leather cases, the Mujjo case also has a soft-lined interior to protect your phone. The leather is a natural full grain leather so it will patina over time as leather does and may even look different from case to case out of the box. It will even still do wireless charging if you don't have any cards in the pocket. The cards will make the distance too large to charge, at least on my charger. My wireless charger also has magnets and I would not recommend putting credit or debit cards next to magnets anyway. Another thing I noticed is that my charger tended to shut off after awhile, I assume this is because my wireless charger has a fan to keep it cool and it doesn’t sense it’s cooling down enough.
The Good
The Bad
Conclusion
I can see myself using this quite often, even if I only use it as a leather case. If I were still flying a lot it would be fantastic to keep my ID to get through security even quicker. As strange as it sounds I prefer the buttons on the Mujjo full leather wallet case to the aluminum buttons on the Apple leather case. More than that, the Mujjo is a couple dollars cheaper than the Apple case. For a real leather case, with a card pocket, I have no issues recommending this case to anyone. You can buy it directly from Mujjo here. Just be sure to change the currency to your country to see an accurate price. It is $48.25 USD.
