Restoring v2.1?

Hi all
I have a 3G that was bought in America while on a long holiday and brought it back to Doha, together with a Turbo SIM. It was running v2.1 and quite happy - I have an AT&T SIM too, but obviously won't work outside the US.

Now, foolishly I ugraded to v2.2 last night and the thing won't work anymore with the Turbo SIM. Being an old duffer and not that computer savvy I have just found this group... damn wish I knew then what I know now!

Anyway - is it possible to remove v2.2 and go back to v2.1 and reverse the baseband changes? I did search the threads here and I downloaded Pwnage and the v2.1 firmware as mentioned in another thread but when I connect the iPhone to the Pwnage programme it tells me that the Firmware isn't supported in my phone...

Do I now own an expensive iPod Touch?

Thanks!

You own an expensive iPhone that doesn't make phone calls.

Try unlocking the phone with respect to the firmware version and OS of your computer. :)
