Restore from Backup?

OK, so I had been jailbroken with Spirit. In preparation for 4.0 (and to update to 9.2) last night I did a restore as new and then when it rebooted, all my apps were there and my contacts (I do sync them with Google), but my pictures were not there nor were my calendars that I sync with. So then I did a restore from backup and everything was then right with the world. MY questions is though is there any problem since I did a restore from backup which had been a jailbroken backup? I am getting the new phone when they deliver it on Thursday (I got lucky on my preorder) and I'll restore to that one, but I am concerned about that backup. Is this right? I don't want to loose my calendar info nor anything else. Can someone please walk me through this the right way so I don't loose anything. Thanks.
