I purchased a Space Grey 6 Plus tonight. I noticed a small scratch on the metal by the charging port. Will the charge a restocking fee or try to give me a refurb? Thank you in advance.

Depends where u got it. If you got it at a carrier store they'll probably either make u pay a restocking fee or make an insurance claim. I'm not sure. If you got it from an Apple Store a lot of times its up to the discretion of the Apple Store employee.

I got it from the Apple Store. It's a small scratch but my OCD can't ignore it. Especially since I paid full retail. Thank you

They're not going to charge you anything if you have it replaced...but I'm not sure why getting a refurbished device is a problem (as implied by your response above)...the refurbs go through more QC than the new ones do typically.

If you purchased it within 14 days, they will swap it on the retail side. My iPad Air 2 had a nick out of the box. I went back to Apple the next day and they exchanged it with a new in box unit through retail and not the Genius Bar.

They'll practically get on their hands and knees saying how sorry they are for the scratch. You'll be getting that thing exchanged without a problem.
