Reset question...

I have an unlocked 2g. If I go into settings and reset the phone will it then become unlocked? Or is that only if I restore through iTunes? Thanks.

If you go through the settings menu it will wipe everything on the iPhone and put everything back to factory settings.

To unlock the iPhone you need to hack it, there are guides on this website.
