Reset Forgotten Root Password

Look i didnt forget the password but the damn thing wont take the password i set only other solution is to do a repwn it but i cbf any help?

That happened to me once a few months back. I know what I put in and it kept saying it was incorrect... crazy. The only thing you can do is a restore in iTunes...

I need to either retrieve my old root password or reset a new one. please help
