Replacement of HDD

I have recently downgraded my MacBook Pro (15 inch,mid 2010, intel i7..) HDD from 500GB to 120GB,(I replaced it after it got damaged with no possiblity of beeing repaired :crying:) is there any effect on my device performance? or maybe any effect on processor or...?

Welcome to iMore. It all depends on the drive you put in. It should not effect anything else. Everything should stay the same. The only thing that could change would be speed and that will be only if you put in a slower drive.
