Reminders not working

Just got the iPhone on saturday and have upgraded to ios 6 and the reminders app is not working. I can't see any + sign to add a reminder and when I try to do it through Siri I get told Siri can't do it.

Reboot your device. If it still has not returned to working properly, reset and restore it as new.
