RedSn0w Free apps?

so i jailbroke my ipod with redsn0w I have a 2g ipod touch (not iphone) firmware 3.0 and my friend showed me how to get free apps so I went to appulous to download it and I got some but all I get are folders named Payload what is my next step?

There are free apps available that arren't from the app store too. Are those apps considered piracy? Technically, you're not stealing anything.

He said free apps from Appulous... that's a cracked app resource. It provides access to pirated apps that normally cost money from the App Store.
