Quick question after buying an Air 2

It seems my iPhone 6 and iPad are now linked. For example if someone is browsing on the iPad i get a little icon on the bottom left of my phone and i can see what website the iPad is on. Is there anyway to separate them? I did sign out of the Apple ID but it's still connected..

Go to Settings - General - Handoff & Suggested Apps, and then disable the toggle next to "Handoff".
