I am considering getting an iPad for Christmas. My main usage for the iPad would be to watch netflix or listen to Pandora. I do not plan on taking videos/pictures or using it to take notes. So I want to know if I am better off getting a cheaper tablet like a samsung or windows tablet. What tablet would best suit my needs and usage?

If you have an iPhone or a Mac already, I would recommend you get the 16 GB iPad. Watching Netflix shows and even sports via the WatchESPN app is great. If you don't have a Mac or an iPhone, I'd still recommend an iPad.

When you interject 'cheaper' into the purchasing of electronics you may be onto the wrong path in my opinion.
My vote would be without a doubt for the iPad. Just think you get a whole community along with it!
