Question, Background of Icon Screen

Can I alter the background of the screen(s) where all my apps are? Straight black is boring and I could have swore I saw this one girl with a pink background on the screen where all her icons were. Do I have to jailbreak my **** to this too? Thanks.

The only way would be to jailbreak and install winterboard.
