Question about store pick up

When pre-ordering and you choose store pick up, are they going to charge your credit card upon checkout or charge you when you actually pick up the phone at the store?

If I recall correctly last year I was not charged until I actually went to the store. I remember I was going to do the  upgrade program but ended up just going with my providers installment plan. I changed my mind in the store.

If anything maybe they authorized my card for $1 but definitely not the full value.

I think that’s true. I did mine 2 years ago but it wasn’t store pick up. Got charged for $1 initially and then fully charge when they finally shipped the package. First time I’m going to try the store pick up.
