How much would an unlocked T-Mobile iphone 5 16gb fetch?

$450-$550 used...that's what the AT&T unlocked models are going for on CL (Atlanta) and eBay, so that should be a pretty good indicator for the T-Mobile one as well.

Could go higher if you found the right buyer, but the above is a pretty good average. New/Sealed in box will fetch anywhere from $50-$100 more than used...again, depending on the buyer.

Consider too that the market is saturated with them now...and with the "rumors" of a new iPhone coming into focus, values are going to plummet week by week.

Should mirror them pretty closely...being an unlocked model would make it hard (and possibly impossible) to recognize a difference between the T-Mobile and AT&T models.

One funny thing I observed while looking at prices to retort to you, it seems the Verizon models are dropping like rocks in value, and the Sprint ones are hilariously underpriced.

I sell privately to a person I know, on Craigslist or on eBay...any of those would infinitely be better than Gazelle (and the other like websites that offer you "guaranteed value").

iPhone 4's are selling for $180-$220...Gazelle is offering $140 for the iPhone 4, so again, you're missing $40-$80 profit even on that 3 year old iPhone.

As far as the iPhone 5 goes...there are TONS of them selling on eBay right now (most with 5+ bidders in a bidding war over them), and my local CL also has dozens of listings for unlocked iPhone 5's. Hell...even the lowly Sprint iPhone 5's arnt as low as Gazelle is offering on them, they are in the $375-$425 range on eBay (WITH bidders).

Just for example's sake, here's one of the first ones that pops up on eBay, this was without even scrolling down to see the others in the range...(30 bidders...also notice it is damaged cosmetically)...

Patience and caution are the keys for using Craig'sList. If your offer is reasonable, most likely you will get a bite. I'm done with Ebay. The fees are outrageous. They get you coming and going. Here in the Lansing MI area your IP5 would go for 440 to 500 on CL. Once the colleges get back in, you may get a tad more.

Yeah eBay is really starting to blow like as you stated the fees are ridiculous plus if you use PayPal then you got their fee as well, such a joke!

I've used a trade in service one time. My sisters iphone 4 had problems last oct. Speaker didn't work. Port was sticky as if a soft drink had gotten on it. Screen had scratches. And apple had refused to swap it (citing liquid dmg). Anyways Verizon only asked if the screen came on. It met that criteria. They issued a decent credit for it after I sent it in. 175. This was all done online. Pretty simple.
