Problems Syncing..

So, I have an iMac and 3GS 3.1.2. I recently updated to snow leopard 10.6 so Im assuming this has some how messed up my 3GS.

I used to be able to drag and drop music from itunes, to the iphone. Thats how I added music since I have like 40gigs of music- I couldnt just let it sync up. I have "Manually Manage" checked, but when I click music it says Sync Music with the check unchecked, and all the options underneath (entire library, selected) but neither are the option I want to drag and drop. Wtf?

And also, seems my iphone isn't recognizing a folder to sync picture to. I don't want it to erase the pics on the phone- I just want them to be backed up to a folder on my computer.

don't drag and drop. it's the worst way to manage music. make playlists and sync the songs

on the photos, open iphoto, you can copy them off that way

basically, it's 100x harder to do it manually.

Seems harder.. I mean I have like 20,000 songs and I gotta check the ones I want and uncheck the ones I dont??? Gonna take forever. I usually just like adding the songs Im listening to this week - deleting it next week and adding the songs I listen to next week.. yanno?
