Private Relay working with other apps

ICloud Private Relay. I absolutely love it🤩. Though I haven't used it yet.

The reason is, as I know, Private Relay only works with Safari. That is, protects your privacy on your Internet browsing. But it doesn't work with other apps.

But some apps doesn't really like users' privacy. For example: Facebook, Messenger, WhatsApp, Twitter, Google etc. I surely wouldn't like to use Facebook through safari or any browser. But I don't want Facebook getting my IP Address and other information.

So, can Apple make Private Relay work with apps downloaded from App Store too?

First of all, hello, and welcome to iMore. I love the idea of Privacy Relay, but I have yet to turn it on, because it's still in beta. Here is a lengthy description from Apple Support about Private Relay: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT212614

Whether it works with Apps, I do not know. It might be worth a chat with Apple Support.

That’s a great idea, might happen in iOS16.

Until then try 1Blocker, it’s pretty cheap too.
