Hello! Sorry if this is not put in the right place.

A few weeks ago I bought this poster from the Sales Director of Apple Spain (Director in the years 1987-1991) and he told me that it was sent from Apple Cupertino to the Madrid offices, where it hung in his office.

When he left Apple I take it with him and now I have bought it for him.

He told me that Apple did it to commemorate the first independent magazine about Apple (MacWEEK) surely in 1987, but he could not tell me anything else.

On the internet I have not found anything, and I would like to find out more.

Maybe: how many were made? Who designed it? ...

If someone from the Forum knows something, I would be very grateful if you could tell me. Thanks

In 1987, I was too busy chasing skirts, drinking and partying all over the place, but hopefully those who weren’t and knows something about the image you shared will respond soon...;)

Yes, I also find it interesting, especially since this poster was in the Apple offices in Spain, but I could not find more information.

I'm certain that there are collectors of all things by Apple! Hopefully, you'll be able to connect with them.

The voice of reason tells me you bought a poster that may not be worth what you paid for it. Sorry.

It can be, although I think not.

Last month I contacted Michael Tchong (Founder of MacWEEK magazine) on Twitter and he replied that he wanted to buy it from me, that indicates that he recognized it and it must be true. But unfortunately he still hasn't answered the other questions I asked him.

What interests me most is not selling it, it is discovering more about this poster. Although if by the way I discover that it is valuable better. :D

I'm indeed the founder of MacWEEK, which I established in February 1987. This poster was designed by MacWEEK art director Gary Suen, most likely around 1989.

Apple had no formal relationship with MacWEEK. It did have one with a competitor, Macintosh Today, which I buried in one year. In fact, Apple insiders frequently referred to us as "MacLeak." :D

This poster was designed by MacWEEK Art Director Gary Suen, probably around 1989. It was given to clients and members of the press. Enjoy.

Thanks for your reply. Now I know a little more about this poster. I imagine there must be few left.
