Portrait Mode, a few months later.

Now Portrait Mode has been out for a few months, do you still use it as much as when it came out?
What improvements is there that Apple could make to it?

I sure do! As for improvements, hard for me to tell since it does what I want it to do.

No, portrait mode has no settings. You just point and shoot.
Maybe they'll introduce some kind of settings in the future, but that's Apple for you. There is no telling, yet.
