Podcast album art wont sync?

Ive searched on here so sorry if ive missed it some where else. Everytime I download podcast on my phone the album artwork is there. once i sync my iphone to my mac it loses the album art. also if I download the podcast from my mac with some shows it will download the artwork and on some it will not. ;/ any ideas on why it does this?
