I just got an iPhone SE and it is running iOS 9.3.1 out of the box.

I selected the folders which I want to sync from my photos library. then I hit sync, the syncing starts and I can say it says copying X files out of 5083 items.....then after a few seconds, the process completes, only a few files have been copied.

I tried many times but no luck. I also tried selecting the entire photos library but same thing

Using iTunes v12.3.3 (x64) on Windows 10 Pro

I have iExplorer installed also but it's not running, the thing is, with iExplorer you can only get files from the iPhone to the PC and not vice versa

PS: When I install iTunes, I always uninstall Bonjour as that collects data usage and sends it to Apple, could that be a problem?

I called Apple Support and they spent 30 mins troubleshooting with me. Finally the problem was with folders permissions. I gave the Everyone group full read/write access to the photos folder, and then we were able to sync the photos just fine.

Great support from Apple going in-depth to get to the solution.

Glad it worked out

spoke too soon I guess. the problem is back, I hit sync, and the sync starts but finishes after a few songs or pics are copied. I ensured to give everyone group read / write access but no luck.

Can someone help me via TeamViewer to sync my photos/music with my iPhone SE?

Problem solved,

the reason the sync wsa failing was because I had a few folders that contained images downloaded for some friends on Facebook. When you download an image from Facbeook, it gives it a very long name like 34343_10150213487990468_5606303_n

that was confusing the living heck out of iOS which is why whenever the syncing reaches that point the syncing would end immediately.

I deleted those friends folders as I don't really need them and now the syncing went smoothly.
