Photos are not showing up in Finder. How do I get that option back?

I have just updated to High Sierra (new to me Mac) and am struggling when trying to post photos within a Facebook message. When I click the camera icon, the Finder box pops up, but there is no longer a media or Photos option on the left. If I drill down through User to the Photo Library it is just greyed out.

How do I get this option back again? I post a LOT of photos to social media and it will be a complete ball ache to export them first!!

(PS yes I know I can upload to Facebook within Photos, but that's not what I need to do!!)

Under privacy Settings on your Mac, make sure that access to photos by Facebook is enabled.
