Photo Folders not showing up when sync'd in iOS 10 - Only showing by date...??

Not sure why.. but since getting the iPhone 7 with iOS 10.0.1 I went to sync my photos and they are not showing up under albums. They are only showing up in Collections by date. I created the albums for a reason. As a Photographer, I want to keep the models separate. Never had this problem before. My iPad is correct, but my iPhone is not. Is there a setting in iOS 10 I am missing? The iPhone 7 was set up as new, the iPad is older on iOS 10 and does not have this issue. I can't find the answer here or on google / search.
