phone dying, repeatedly turning on and off

ok so I had a 2g iphone that was unlocked and jailbroken. It worked great with t-mobile. I never could figure out how to get or send picture messages. I purchased a 3g iphone and was told it was unlocked but not jailbroken. I had someone walk me thru jailbreaking it with itunes and blackra1n. It worked excellent for 2 days. All of a sudden it would turn black and give me the apple logo, doing this over and over. If I charge it for a while, it works great but starts to do this again after about 3 hours. When it does this, its random and the battery is not low. Please help

ok listen...hold down the home and power button at the same time while plugged into your computer then itunes should recognize it and u have to restore and do it all over again...its called DFU MODE....do a search for it and u should be alright
