PDFs and word

I received email with attachments in either pdf or word attachments. I click the attachment and the document opens but it’s blank and shouldn’t be. I am using the gmail app. Please help?

Since I first saw your post, I've been opening and closing various documents (both PDFs and Word docs) on my iPhone without issue. I'm wondering if the actual documents you're trying to open are somehow corrupted. Have you asked the sender to resend them to you?
