hi guys i just bought a macbook pro today with best buys 24 months intrest free financing and sold my laptop on craigslist i was wondering how i can switch my iphone 4 to sync with my new macbook without loosing my apps and contacts and various data

I'm assuming you backed up all your files? If so, all you need to do is place the folder from your PC named 'iTunes' that would have been the the My Music folder and place it in the Music folder. When you open iTunes, a progress bar will pop up showing you it is updating your iTunes library and then you're good to go. You'll be able to sync without wiping your device.
