Pandora in canada

I live in canada and wanted pandora like i had on my blackberry. so i went through the steps to get a us itunes account downloaded pandora and got it on my phone. when i open the app and log in it says its not available in my country. am i safe to assume that even once you get it on the phone it still won't work? on my blackberry you just had to give an american postal code and you were all set

i'm in canada though eh. none of those are suppose to work its just i could get pandora to work on my old blackberry. i could never get slacker to work. i guess pandora on the iphone must know where you are as opposed to the app for blackberry's

Neither my wife nor I have ever had it work while visiting Canada.
