I have a iPhone 5 16gb only 3 weeks old. With a lifeproof case+belt clip and otter box defender w/holster. What would be a fair market/sale price for these if listed on Craigs list or eBay.

**this is not an advertisement or a sale posting// just want to know a fair selling price* *

Thank you

you would probably get 350-400 for it on craiglist... maybe more than 400 over ebay i don't know why ebay stuff sells for more.

I have always used Craigslist for both selling and buying phones. When the 5 was announced, I sold my original 4 for $250. The key with Craigslist is patience; you have to be patient when weeding through the inquiring emails you will receive about the phone, and you have to have patience when people low ball you and you're waiting for a price offer you can live with.

I have never used eBay to sell a phone, so I don't know much about it. I do believe there are fees you pay to eBay for selling something, while craigslist is totally free to you.

Sell for $400. Ebays fees 10%= $40 Then factor in PP fees 2.9%+ $.30 (another 1% if the buyer sends funds from a non us account.) Total sale after fees is going to be $348.10. Thats if you offer free shipping.

Atlanta market on CL is in the range of $400-$500 depending on condition ($500 was for unlocked versions that were listed as "Like New"), $400 was more of the low end condition but were without damage (probably scuffs, maybe a scratch or two on the screen).

eBay was not much different, though I did see a few unlocked 5's on there for $500+ (and still had some decent time left on the auction end).

Thats Good to hear, I am in Atlanta and was looking to list my iPhone 5 with OG unused Headphones and charger and box and a Mophie Juice Pack helium for 500, do you think it will sit?

The good thing about Craigslist is that you're in total control. If you decide not to sell it, remove the post. If you aren't getting any offers you think are decent, you don't have to sell it. Throw something up and gauge the reaction. You can post a firm price, or you can look for the best offers. Totally up to you, but you won't know until you post something. Know what I mean?

Just make sure that if you DO find an offer you like, meet in a public place. I always meet the person at an AT&T store (that's obviously who I have). That way it's a safe, public place and the device can be inspected if need be.
