Otterbox Case questions.

I currently have an otterbox defender on my Iphone 5. I have had an otterbox defender since my android days, 2 years, then almost two years with my iPhone 4, and now with my iphone 5.

I have the same exact issues. And people that I know have issues. The display protector gets these dark, black spots here and there that do not come clean no matter what. You think it's on the outside, then maybe inside. NOPE. Just doesn't come off. Leaves the same marks on a display protector on the phone (have an SGP on because I don't want those marks on the glass like it did to my droid).


So I have purchased an SGP Tough Armor. Anyone else have these? How good are these for drops?

I love my otter box defenders but I rip out the screen protector on all of them just don't like them.

I tried that before, but something got right on the side, and really scratched the display protector.

I've been looking at the Tough Armor too (and looking for feedback). I had a bad string of events with my Lifeproof N??d and am looking for something that offers a little more protection. I'm currently back to my Otterbox Commuter until I find a good case.

I ordered the Tough armor, and a value pack display protector (three front, one back) Crystal from amazon. Ships today. I'll let you know!!! Be able to enjoy the screen. I feel that the protector in the otterbox really takes away from the screen.

Defender also damage my i5. It damaged the glass and nicked the bezel so I won't use them anymore. Luckily I needed a swap for a hardware issue with Apple so I got it replaced. The Defender is cut too big so the i5 shift around in the case. My wife also has a defender it it also nicked her bezel.

I've got alot of sand between my iPhone and otterbox cases. I've never had any real issues with scratches but then I also use zagg full body protectors.

I no longer use otterbox cases
