In iTunes right now it says my "other" is 1.56GB.

Is this normal for iOS 7? What size is everyone else at?

My iPhone5 is just under 1.3GB... iPad3 just under 1.5GB... was more than that before I did a full restore after iOS7.0.2 came out... then I restored from back-up... and when it gets out of hand again, I'll restore again...

1.56 GB is at the high end of normal anything over 3 GB is a cause of concern though

After some more syncs it is holding steady at 1.56GB. This was after I restored as new when getting version 7.0.2. I guess the OS takes up this much room now. Glad I have 32GB.

thats how apple makes you want to get a new device every year. the only way to get the "other" is to do a fresh restore and set it as new! its not hard! but it takes alot of time ( back up your contacts, load up your apps etc ) the only way to have control of the "other" folder is to be jailbroken. thats one of the main reasons the jailbrake is epic! icleaner is the best tweak ever! and with the newest upgrade it works even better. it seems that the "other" keeps getting bigger thanks to your messages attachments through time. the developer of icleaner just added an option to get rid of those attachments. when i had my jailbroken i5 i ran icleaner everymonth and i was able to get back on average of 1.5g everytime i ran it! even though the "other" didnt go as low as how it was when the phone was new. however the last time i ran the lastest upgrade of icleaner with the messages attachment option i got back almost 5g!!! yup i couldnt believe it!!

Nah. It's the ios 7 update.

No way to take that off the storage of the iphone. Just redownloads.

You can get rid of it by doing a clean restore. It will get rid of other for a while and might help fix the wifi issue.
