Optimized Charging on AirPods Pro...

I put my AirPods Pro in the other night and a window opened up telling me that my AirPods were only charged to 80% and would fully charge in a couple of hours. I've had them for well over a year, and I've never seen this before!!! Is this new?

I don't like Optimized Changing on my iPhone, but I don't know how I feel about it on my AirPods! Does anyone have any input?

Optimized charging for AirPods came out with iOS 14 sometime last year. I tried it out and quickly disabled it because my AirPods Pro were never fully charged when I needed to use them especially for workouts since my daily workout time varies. I do however have it enabled on my iPhone which works better for me since I charge it overnight so I never run into issues of it not being fully charged.

I completely understand your point of view. When I put in my AirPods, I want them fully charged.
