OpenNotifier equivalent for OS X?

I want the jailbreak tweak OpenNotifier for OS X or a similar tweak. Any suggestions?

For those who don't know OpenNotifier allows apps with badges to place icons on the statusbar that are automatically dismissed once you clear the badge.

I've been using Growl for years but had no idea it supported custom status bar icons!
I will look into it a bit later today!

Oh I'm not sure if it does. Just seemed like a good starting point..let us know!

My surprise reaction was well justified, it seems. As far as I can tell Growl doesn't have icon support, only pop-ups. Still, it's an invaluable tool. Any other suggestions?
