Once I buy a set top Apple tv is there a cost to streamimg tv shows?

Say I go to a store & buy the Apple tv box for my tv. How much is it to stream the tv channels that I used to watch with Cable tv? Can I use a universal remote, or do I have to use my cell phone or laptop?

If you choose to subscribe to things like HBO, Showtime, etc... Yes. To play things purchased from iTunes, other than the original purchase, no.
