iMore Question

I am playing Pokemon Go on my iPod and it closes on me all the time. My internet is connected - no problems there, but still kicks me out of the game every few minutes - particularly when I try to capture a Pokemon. It sometimes takes me 6 or 7 times of being kicked out before I can capture the Pokemon. Please help, this is frustrating.

Hello Welcome to iMore!

Have you tried to close out all of the other apps? It may be your device might be low on RAM when running Pokemon Go.

Pokemon Go is NEVER going to work well on an iPod Touch. It has no GPS, strike 1, Strike 2, how do you keep your internet connected? Hotspots, using your phone as a hotspot? (why not just play on the phone). Strike 3 in order to map the touch will need to rely on WiFi provided info, also connecting to multiple WiFi signals as you travel, etc is realling going to take a toll on the battery, and so does the game itself! You really need an iPhone or Android phone to play this game!
