On my iPhone 4s, why am I getting white shade on the display back side like water mark?

In my iphone 4s getting white shade on the display back side like water mark

there is a white shades with 1mm approx width from left to right on the screen
what happens it is soft ware issue or hard ware issue
some times only shade comes on the screen while seeing time or whenever call cost message comes then also it appears

I would take it to an Apple Store and get them to look at it. That is your best bet.
