You must have more will power than the rest of us. I'm trying to resist as long as possible.

For me half the reason to not do beta is the tinkering hassle. I'd rather only have to do it all once, on release, since I'll likely wipe my devices (factory reset) to get a clean install. ;)

I just saw something in an email that makes me think the date will be the 19th.

Barclay card is offering special financing on any purchase made until September 5th. That would mean if you bought a phone from Apple on the 5th you would have to return it before the 19th. That would prevent someone from buying a phone and then seeing the new ones during the keynote and decide to returning it because they want the new one instead.

So there you have it, the keynote for new phones will be on the 19th, and that is when iOS 11 will be "released".

Well, if we look at the history of all releases I think there is a pretty good 90% + chance that it will release between 10th Sep and 20th Sep My guess would be for 12th.

IOS 10 - September 13, 2016
IOS 9 - September 16, 2015
IOS 8 - September 17, 2014
IOS 7 - September 18, 2013
IOS 6 - September 19, 2012

Woah thank you!
The sooner the better :)

It used to be 2 days before the new phones were released. Usually on the Wednesday before. They may have strayed from that.

Yes this is correct. The only think I see that could change that this year is if the event is 9/12 but new phones don’t release for a few weeks. But yes, otherwise you nailed it.
