I use my watch to pause, skip and control volume by air pods while at work. I can no longer control volume using the watch crown. Anyone seen this?
Thanks.

Has it worked in the past and not working now? Any hardware changes? Have you rebooted both phone and watch? Are you using series 3 with LTE?

No issues here but I'll start playing around and see what happens.

Apple Music?

Yes it worked previously but since one of the last watch updates it has changed and now it does not control volume. I am using the Apple Watch 2 and I have rebooted both watch and iphone.
I mainly listen to podcasts using pocket casts but I do use apple music occasionally and no colume control there either via watch.

Yup. But controlling volume is gone. Maybe it was the app update; not sure but I wish it did because I used that feature all the time.

So of you play music via speakerphone, no volume control on watch? Very odd. I'd plan a visit to the "genius bar" to see if they can fix or have any solutions.

PS - yes, I put "genius bar" in quotes as I question the use of the word genius used in that title.

Odd. Is the crown still working for everything else?

The crown works flawless for me in controlling volume. Just an added note, I have a Series 2 and the Series 2 cannot play music from the built in speaker. Only phone calls. The crown remote controls the volume of what’s playing on my phone, or Bluetooth speaker paired with phone or watch.

Well I just tried with mine and the crown controls volume when playing music via iPhone speaker, airpods and even Bluetooth in my car.

At this point I'd say unpair everything, reboot and repair. If it still doesn't work if make an appointment with the genius bar.
