Notification sounds issue in iOS 9

Wow, this actually worked. I've been struggling with ring tone issues on my iPad mini for months, and I had given up on trying to fix it (enabling the screen lock button seemed to fix it for a while, then it stopped working again), and I just embraced the idea of only being able to see alerts for incoming calls and texts if I was actively using my device at the time, but never having a functioning ring tone. Thank you so much.
