Notification bar icon program help

I am new to iPhone but absolutely love it. That said I have tried 3 different programs to get icons in the status bar to no avail. Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong. I have a jailbroken Verizon iPhone.

Lockinfo should do it. Are you looking for any specific icons? Other options might include Notifier, Notifier+, and OpenNotifier...not sure if those all work on 4.2.6.

Also, if you keep having issues you may need to install libstatusbar in Cydia.

Status bar icons

I currently use Intelliscreen for my lock screen calendar, weather & notifications (SMS, email, etc.), which takes advantage of icons in the status bar for notifications when you're elsewhere in the OS. It works pretty well, and I think the icons are customizable. But so far, I've seen more functionality/customization options available for Lockinfo, so you might want to try that instead. Ciao!
