become slower and one unusable since

I don't know because I use an iPhone 5. Having said that, I do know people who are running iOS 7 on their iPhone 4 devices and love it.

The look of iOS 7 is not appealing to everyone, but it is the look that comes with iOS 7 so either deal with it or get a device with iOS 6 or below on it.
