I just realized that my iPhone 6 doesn't go into landscape. Is this because it's the 6 and not the 6 plus or is there a setting I need to tweak?

Only on the 6plus atm. There maybe a Jailbreak tweak in the future but as of now it's only on the plus.

Sent from my HTC M8

Lol yeah it's because of the bigger screen that it can allow landscape. I almost went to a plus for this exact reason and the contact picture in the messaging and the .....I could go on and on but the phone was just too damn big for me.

Well excuse me for not realizing they would pull a stunt like that after every single one of their previous models had that feature. Give me a break here.

It goes into landscape mode just not the home screen. Here is the 6 in landscape. Is your screen rotation lock on. The button on the top right is the screen rotation lock. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1411694136.147378.jpg

Oooops. Turns out it only works for messaging. I can't get it to work on my browser or for pictures. So it IS more limited than with previous models.

Oooooh... it looks like I might have to lock and unlock in every screen to get it to start. That's weird but I'll do it, I'd rather not have to upgrade to a 6 plus, I love my 6.

And... NO: it gets stuck in either portrait or landscape, I have to lock and unlock every time I want it to switch. This won't do.

There are certain apps and screens that simply won't support landscape mode no matter what phone you have. Facebook, Contacts, and Flipboard are examples. But other things like the browser, pics, videos, youtube etc should work without a hitch and certainly without ever having to mess with lock/unlock first. If you haven't already, try powering off and on again or even a hard reset just to refresh things and see if this helps.

Edit: Karen beat me to it. She always does lol!

That's very strange that you have to unlock the orientation every time. You should try a soft reset.

Edit:
Looks like I got beat to the reset thing too.
