No HDR sign in photos

Ever since upgrading my 5s to iOS 8, the HDR sign in my photos has not been showing. This did not happen in iOS 7. Is this a bug, or is this one of the changes Apple made with iOS 8? I have HDR Auto enabled on my camera settings.

Not sure... If you have easy access to an AppleStore/Genius Bar - it might be worth asking them.
