I have a iphone 4( I think it is one of the ones from china, not sure). When I look up how to check my IOS, it always say go to Settings>GENERAL>.....

I DON'T HAVE THE 'GENERAL' OPTION:( BELOW IS WHAT SHOWS UP WHEN I GO INTO SETTINGS!

Dual WIFI settings
Pen calibration
Phone settings

LCD backlight
Music settings
Security settings

Connectivity
Restore factory setting
Sound effects

Motion Setting

so when it says go to settings i can do that, but when it says go to general i don't have that on my phone. I don't have that safari either.

THIS IS THE INFORMATION THAT I CAN SEE. IF YOU NEED MORE LET ME KNOW.

The Pen calibration menu item would lead me to believe it is a fake. I don't believe any Apple manufactured "touch" device would use a pen.

Fake iPhone... I don't recall a pen calibration or motion setting tab ever in settings. I don't think you can jailbreak your device as it's not a genuine apple product.

It would have to be running iOS to jailbreak.

Though that's true for the purposes of this thread, it's not totally correct--jailbreaks can be performed on a number of non-iOS devices (some Nokia phones, for instance0; it's just that the Apple jailbreaks have gotten the most public attention.

More on the wider meaning of jailbreaking here.

OP, any chance you have a SciPhone, or maybe a HiPhone? I always wondered how those performed as a day to day phone...do you enjoy yours?
