Two apps I want most for the iPhone are eWallet and Pocket Informant. I know they have working versions...and now we are just waiting for Apple to allow them and release them to the store.

The third app I really really want for iphone is TomTom, but we have not heard much out of them other than a few on again/off again comments from their CEO.

I saw SplashID in the apps store already and would expect to see Splash Money very soon down the road. Used their products previously on my Treo and they were excellent. SplashPhoto was also very good on the Treo 600 but that was 5 years ago and iPhone has such fantastic photo management natively that I can't imagine using a 3rd party app for that. Although I have to admit, BOA's (Bank Of America) mobile banking app almost does the trick for me currently on the crackberry. If the iPhone app has a better interface (and it looks like it does) then that takes care of on-the-fly money tracking for me personally.

Thanks I saw SplashID as well. But I've been a long time eWallet user and I'd like to stick with them.

Certainly understandable. I have my software companies I stick with too! But with that many iPhones roaming the Earth soon, I'd be amazed if you don't see them releasing an iPhone version soon. :)

Has anyone used eWallet now that it is available for the iphone and they have added desktop sync support? I loved eWallet with my Treo and I wanted to use it with my iphone but I am concerned about the wireless sync. Is it secure, any real world feedback?

I have no idea about security, cuz I'm not an IT professional, but wireless sync works great and I feel secure. Because it will only sync when I ask it to and it will only sync with the PC that YOU have set up to sync with. For the first sync, you have to establish a partnership then the iPhone gives you security code to match that iPhone with that PC. Once they match then you can sync. Next time you want to sync you open eWallet and press the sync button on both iphone and PC. and that's it. It's fast and seems to work great. I love it.

I used it on my old Treo and iPaq and the iPhone application rocks.

And it's on sale right now. I paid 9.99, but it's on sale for 4.99 now. go get it.

eWallet was just updated last week to include a Search feature. Now I think eWallet is even more 'Awesomer.' Is that a word? It should be, eWallet rocks.

PocketInformant is on the Appstore now! I have just bought the last version from the and I am very happy with what I have got. Very nice integration of the calendar and the ToDos; good compliance with the GTD methodology (I have not tested the Franklin Convey integration); efficient synchronization with GCalendar and Toodledo. I even prefer its Todo management to the one that comes with the original Toodledo iPhone application. The version seems quite quick (I have not activated the synchronization during launching, I prefer to do it manually and be able to immediately have access to my agenda when I launch PI. It is not cheap but it largely merits the price in my eyes. Really, I am enough happy with it to take the pain to bore you with this information ;-)
I would like to have some supplementary customization (concerning the colours for example, sometime they can be quite ugly for some projects!) but I would not like it to become as cumbersome and complex as the Windows Mobile version...

Regards,

Murat

I too, own PI and ewallet. Ewallet rocks and I'm soooo happy to have it. I has earned a place on my 'first' springboard page forever.

PI is there now, too. But I wish Apple would let PI have access to the ical calendar database....I hate syncing my iPhone to google and Google to my Desktop and back and forth...there are just too my steps where problems can arise. I use PI, because I want to force myself to use it. But I only use it for Tasks, my calendar is too important to mess up. And PI 1.01 is still too slow compared to ToDo and Toodledoo.
